Christian Mailly joined the Dr. Peters Group—one of the leading German alternative asset and lease managers—in 2009. As Head of the Group’s aviation division, DS Aviation, he is responsible for overseeing and expanding the company’s aviation activities worldwide.

With 28 years of experience in the aviation industry, Christian brings deep expertise in asset-based financing, aircraft leasing, and aviation asset management.

The Dr. Peters Group itself has built a 15-year track record in widebody aircraft leasing. Its profound understanding of aviation markets has enabled the company to operate successfully even during challenging periods, consistently optimizing airline efficiency, protecting asset values, and delivering strong returns for investors.

With its new venture, Backbone Freighter Leasing, the group is now entering the cargo aircraft leasing market, focusing on the 777-300ERCF freighter conversion program—a next-generation platform designed to meet the growing global demand for cargo capacity.
