Mickey Belgrod, Director, joined First Citizens' Maritime Finance business in 2017 and is responsible for originating new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships and executing vessel finance transactions.

Mickey has spent more than two decades in the maritime industry, working across commercial, operational and technical roles, both at sea and ashore. Prior to joining First Citizens, Mickey spent 6 years as an Oil Trader at World Fuel Services where he generated relationships with global shipping companies and managed their fleet bunkering programs, employing financial derivative instruments to mitigate volatile oil markets as well as coordinating physical fuel deliveries around the world. Earlier in his career, Mickey sailed on commercial vessels in the merchant marine and piloted towing vessels on the Mississippi River and US inland waterway system, obtaining his Master of Towing endorsement on his United States Coast Guard license. Mickey also spent nearly a decade serving in the United States Navy as a reservist and retiring honorably at the rank of Lieutenant.
